Gerald P. Dwyer, Jr. currently is a financial economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, although I have been a professor almost all of my career. These pages reflect my specific interests in monetary and financial economics.
These seemingly diverse areas of interest are: e-commerce and free banking, monetary economics and fiscal policy, nonlinear dynamics and nonlinear time series, computer programming, and economic growth. Not surprisingly, they are related in my mind, but I won't go into those details.
The buttons to the left are links to pages about each topic. The pages offer copies of recent working papers and descriptions of some recent published articles. The pages also have links to related code, data and material available on the Internet.
I have been working on economic growth and financial development for the last couple of years. Information on that material is on my new website jerrydwyer.com. Information on my latest projects on banking and a little bit on sailboats are there too.
I have been teaching at the University of Carlos III, the University of Rome, Emory Univerity and the University of Georgia since becoming a Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta in the United States. Some information related to my recent courses is available at "course links."
